We depend on soil to grow our food and provide the products we use for living, protection, and comfort. We build with soil. We have relied on soil to support our structures and our paths of transportation. We have trusted the soil to be stable and permanent. In some of these presumptions we have been incorrect.
Strong Earth Australia has developed products which address many of the problems inherent with soil – problems which are ever increasing because of the enormous pressures being placed on this valuable resource of soil, by an ever increasing population.

Based in Queensland, Australia, Strong Earth specialises in geo-science. Its core business supplies exclusive, cost-effective and environmentally compatible products for the correction of soil and pavement disorders in the roading, mining, agricultural and development industries.

Background
Strong Earth Australia is the most recent evolution in a process that commenced in 1995 under the banner of The International Institute of Soil Technologies.
The Institute harnessed technologies, base products and methods first utilised in the 1960's for the treatment and stabilisation of roads by Department of Public Works NSW and Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Authority, amongst others.
At that time the first stabiliser of this type, Roadpacker 2-3-5, an electrochemical soil stabiliser, advanced technology incorporating the use of varied sulphonated oils to ionise water, was only partially understood.
This early, though not fully developed stabiliser clearly had a great future and there were many successful applications produced. Some roads treated over 40 years ago are still in use today. Enquiries to the councils involved have confirmed that these roads have needed little or no maintenance since, despite intermittent flooding over some of them and a much higher volume of traffic over the ensuing years.
Historical and recent reports substantiate positive effects on pavement integrity and longevity.
The 'Roadpacker' trade name and formulation is owned by Strong Earth as Proprietary Property.
The product and applications have undergone continual upgrading – innovative technology taking Soil and Pavement Management into the 21st Century.
It is now known as Geo R Bond – The Road Stabiliser.
